Dr. Chu studies gene and microRNA expression in dogs with chronic kidney disease. She uses a canine model of X-linked hereditary nephropathy as well as client-owned dogs with naturally occurring glomerular diseases to discover novel biomarkers and understand the pathogenesis of renal pathology.
