We're trying to build a quantum computer with semiconductor spin-qubits. We use silicon as our host material as the spin coherence time is comparably long. Using STM technique we can place phosphorous atoms in certain locations in silicon and use the phosphorous nuclear spin or electron spin bound to the atom to design our qubit. My research focuses on the qubit interaction with the environment. I calculate the electron spin-relaxation time of the qubit under applied electric  and magnetic field. This will affect the qubit fidelity. I'm also calculating the qubit's dephasing time due to charge noise.
